This part is required to enable Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, but it will NOT work on its own. To successfully perform the upgrade, your vehicle's Mazda Connect system **MUST** be updated to firmware version 70.00.21 or higher **BEFORE** installing this hub. This is a two-part upgrade process. We are only selling the hardware module. It is the BUYER'S RESPONSIBILITY to ensure your vehicle's software is updated correctly. We are not responsible for any installation or software update costs.
